Taylor Swift is up for it.
A day after Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl took a dig at the “anti-hero” pop star by jokingly stating that she doesn’t perform live, Swift responded to his claims with a scintillating performance at Wembley Stadium for her ongoing London Eras Tour.
On Sunday, June 23, the “Gorgeous” diva, who was recently in the news for abruptly calling off her show due to a fans’ emergency, thanked her band during her third concert at London’s iconic music show venue.
Taylor Swift’s candid response to Dave Grohl
In a touching thank you to everyone who helped put on her successful, record-breaking Eras Tour, which officially made Swift a billionaire, the “Lover” singer said, “Every single member of my band, every single member of our crew, my band that’s about to perform live for you tonight for 3.5 hours, they deserve so much.” Fans shared clips of the heartwarming concert moment on social media, as the Grammy winner also urged the audience to cheer for her band.

Recalling the genuine expression of his fans during the Eras Tour, which kicked off in March 2023, he added, “And so do all my fellow artists. And you have given this to us so generously that we will never forget it.”
What did Dave Grohl say about Taylor Swift?
Swift’s heartfelt comment was an indirect response to Grohl’s jibe during both music artists’ shows in London on Saturday, June 22. The 55-year-old rock legend joked with the audience on Saturday about calling his tour “The Errors Tour,” taking a dig at the title of Taylor’s world tour.
“I know we were joking about the Taylor Swift tour before. I know she’s on her Eras tour. I’m telling you, man, you don’t want to incur the wrath of Taylor Swift,” he began. “That’s why we like to call our tour ‘The Errors Tour’ because I feel like we’ve had more than a few Eras and a few bullshit mistakes.”
Grohl proudly stated that they “actually play live”, “That’s all I’m saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You’ve come to the right place.”

While the “Love Story” star is set to complete the first three of his 8-part London shows at Wembley, Grohl’s band pleased the crowd at London Stadium in Stratford, east London.
Meanwhile, Swift’s tour continues to draw A-list guests, including the royal family. Her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, also made his first appearance on stage on Sunday.
Another concert, another Taylor Swift infamy story
In contrast to Grohl’s sarcastic comments, Charli XCX declared on Sunday, June 23, that she has no interest in these superficial wars. Following her own headlining gig at ZIGclub in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday, the “Boom Clap” hitmaker strongly urged her fans not to chant “Taylor [Swift] On his show he said, “It’s true that it’s dead.”
Taking to her Instagram Stories, she addressed the hateful narrative, sharing a screenshot of an x/twitter post with an image of the offensive rape: “Would those who do this please stop. Online or at my shows… It’s against my wishes and it upsets me that anyone could think there’s a place for this in this community. I will not tolerate it.”
Fans spread these claims, speculating whether Charli’s latest song, “Sympathy Is a Knife”, taken from her sixth album, “Brat”, is a dig at Swift. The “Von Dutch” singer is engaged to The 1975 drummer George Daniel, who is a bandmate of Matty Healy (Swift’s ex).
Charli performed for the “Reputation” artist during his 2018 stadium tour.
