BTS’ Jin is opening up about his current K-drama obsession, which is none other than the king of all tvN masterpieces, Queen of Tears. The Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won starrer, which broke all records to reign at number one, surpassing some major shows like Crash Landing on You and Goblin, has won the heart of our oldest BTS member. Jin, who returned from the army in June, recently spoke to W Korea where he talked about various topics including his binge list and fans were left surprised.

Moon Singer, who served as a torch bearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics, was asked what show or movie he is currently interested in. Without hesitation, he immediately mentioned the hit Queen of Tears. Although he admitted he couldn’t watch it from the beginning, he shared his favorite scene, detailing what caught his attention and sparked his interest in the show.

“The most entertaining drama I’ve seen recently, although I haven’t been able to watch it since the first episode, is called ‘Queen of Tears,'” the oldest BTS member said, according to Koreaboo.
Jin describes his favorite Queen of Tears scene
Kim Seokjin, who has returned to music-making after completing his mandatory military service, which fans have been eagerly awaiting – described a scene from the show that excited him. With a smile on his face, the South Korean singer explained that “there was a scene where Kim Soohyun catches sunbae-nim’s flower petals and decides whether he likes her or not, and that scene was really great to watch.”
We all know our Epiphany singer has a favorite moment to share and K-drama fans can remember the exact scene. Kim Soo Hyun’s character, Baek Hyun Woo, is a little drunk, plucking flower petals to understand his feelings for his wife, Hong Hae In (played by Kim Ji Won). When he finally got home and confessed his love out loud, he had no idea that she was listening to him from the other side of the door!

Fans call Jin a ‘hopeless romantic’
“Our worldwide handsome is also a hopeless romantic,” one fan wrote in the comments section. “Jin gets a role in the drama while the rest of the members have to wait to finish their service,” another wrote. Praising his great taste in K-dramas, a third ARMY said, “Jin, you have good taste for K-dramas! I also watch Queen of Tears many times.” “Same Jin same…it makes me crazy about Kim Soohyun actor and Kim Jiwon actress,” a fourth said. “Kim Soo Hyun’s magic on Bangtan Boys is also worth watching.”
On the work front, the singer has revealed that he is working on new music and even teased it during his recent performances. He is also set to appear on several shows. In his latest livestream, he said, “I am preparing my album. I am recording and in meetings, we are discussing a lot about it. When I said I will release an album, I got a lot of songs. 4,000? 5,000? I was asked if I liked any song.”
