A few days ago, a publication claimed that two American pop sensations, Taylor Swift and Beyonce are planning to hold a concert together in support of Kamala Harris ahead of the US elections. The news spread like wildfire and fans rejoiced at the prospect of both the powerful celebrities coming on the same stage. Although the news was published a few days ago, it gained momentum recently and was quickly debunked after a fact check.

Is there going to be a Taylor-Beyoncé concert?
After theories about a possible Taylor-Beyoncé concert in support of Kamala Harris started spreading on the internet, a fact-checking website called Snopes confirmed the story and declared that the rumors about the concert were just that – rumors. As per Snopes’ report, the news could not be backed up by any reputable source and no official statement was released by either Taylor or Carter’s camps.
The rumors started when the UK Discoverer published a story titled, “Breaking news: Beyonce and Taylor Swift are going to hold a spectacular fundraising concert in support of Kamala Harris,” as reported by The Mirror. The publication raised fans’ expectations with its story in which it also mentioned that the two singers had also released a joint statement for the concert in which they said, “We believe in the power of music to bring people together and create change. This concert is our way of using our platform to support a leader who is dedicated to making a positive impact on our country. We are thrilled to bring our fans together for a night of incredible music and unity in support of Kamala Harris.”

Who are Taylor and Beyoncé supporting in this election?
So far, both Taylor and Beyonce have remained tight-lipped about who they plan to support ahead of the US elections in November this year. However, it is being speculated that the chosen candidate will be the 59-year-old politician. This speculation is based on the fact that the Single Ladies singer’s team gave Harris last-minute approval to use her song Freedom during the presidential campaign.
In 2020, Taylor had expressed support for Harris on X when the latter accepted the nomination for the vice presidency. The Lover singer replied “yes” to Harris’ tweet where the latter wrote, “@JoeBiden can unite the American people because he’s spent his life fighting for us. And as president, he will build an America that lives up to our ideals.”
“I am proud to join him as our party’s nominee for vice president and to do whatever it takes to make him our commander in chief.”
