Mumbai: Manav Kaul has been making headlines with his latest web series Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper. It has become one of the most loved and watched shows on the OTT platform. Zee News exclusively spoke to Manav Kaul and spoke about his recent success. Talking about the show, Manav revealed how he stayed true to his character, “Every actor is proud of the fact that he can do this. And I am very lucky that my writer and director did not judge me for my previous work. I am very grateful to Puneet Krishna and Ram Sampath for giving me this role. When the script is strong you automatically get into the character. The character of Tribhuvan got into me right from the narration, yes, I was a little worried because a lot of heavy things were happening in the show, and I am glad that I got support from the entire team.”
When asked if the physical scenes with Tillotama Shome were challenging as he plays a sex worker in the show, “It’s not just about the physical scenes and it’s not something that is kept aside, Tribhuvan’s life would be incomplete without it. Also, we actors are naked, I don’t really care, it’s actually emotional scenes which are hard to understand because the camera captures your eyes very well, so I didn’t want to lie while playing the character.”
Manav Kaul, when asked if this show will be a game changer for him, cited the example of Ali Fazal’s Mirzapur and said, “I am not stopping anyone. It will be fun. Making a show is a long process, I don’t think about profit and loss. Punit has given his whole life and we are lucky to be a part of it. I will remember this show as an actor and my game is going well”, he concluded.
