Usher's friendship with Diddy sparked criticism while speaking at Kamala Harris rally

Kamala Harris came out to a rally in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, October 19, where singers Usher and Lizzo supported her. Usher came on stage and sang Archie Eversole’s We Are Ready with the crowd. However, he faced criticism over his friendship with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who was charged with racketeering and sex trafficking in September.

Usher announces his support for Harris

At the rally, Usher began, “I’m supporting Kamala Harris as she fights for the rights and freedoms of everyone.” He added, “It doesn’t matter where you come from. He has a vision for our country that includes everyone, a vision that supports small businesses, investing in our health, in our communities. It does, and gives everyone a chance to move forward.” We have the opportunity to elect a new generation of leadership for our country.”

Earlier in the day, Harris was in Detroit with Lizzo, a local native who debuted in the city last week by hitting back at Trump’s insults. The former president said, “The whole country is going to be like – do you want to know the truth? – If the Vice President wins the race for the White House it will be like Detroit.

Lizzo responded, “They say if Kamala wins, the whole country will be like Detroit. Proud like Detroit. Resilient like Detroit. We’re talking about the same Detroit that innovated the auto industry and the music industry, so let’s keep some respect for the Detroit name,” as reported by UPI.

Usher criticized during Harris’ rally

During the rally, an audience member shouted, “We love you, Usher!” To which he replied “I love you more, but I love Kamala Harris even more. I want her to be our next President of the United States.” However, as soon as her clip at the rally surfaced on the internet, she did not get that much love. Netizens criticized Usher due to his association with the disgraced mogul.

Diddy? Why should America vote to save you from an inevitable end in prison? You’re just as sick as Diddy, no victim card for you.

Another user wrote, “Forget white dudes for Kamala. They just finished voting for Diddy White Party,” while one user wrote, “Forget white dudes for Kamala.” “They just finished voting out the Diddy White Party.”
