In a series of Instagram posts, Beckinsale revealed various bruises, scratches and torn fingers. As fans expressed their concerns, the actress remained cheerful and gave humorous responses about her injuries. Earlier this year, Beckinsale also spoke out about her dramatic weight loss after facing harsh criticism online.

On her Instagram, the Underworld star shared a series of photos showcasing her injuries, along with a playful but bold comment, “Kicking that immaculately chic ass 🩷.” She added jokingly, “And a few close-ups don’t hurt, hahaha.” The 51-year-old actress also shared a snapshot on her Instagram Stories in which it looked like she was wearing a back brace. “Why are you all hurt?” a fan asked and she replied, “Talking about tampon shopping and boys.”
Apparently, Beckinsale wants her followers to know that she’s going all out with her stunts for her upcoming film, Canary Black.
Despite the light-hearted nature of the post, fans wasted no time in expressing their concern in the comments. A follower asked, “Oh my god, are you okay? What’s wrong?” Another commented, “You must have really been in some pain; I hope you feel better now.” “Hey, you’re covered in bruises! I hope nothing is broken—is this a spoiler for the new movie?” someone else asked Beckinsale, while another commenter wrote, “OMG.. .Those injuries…those X-rays!”
Kate Beckinsale hits back at criticism
The post comes after the 51-year-old Serendipity actress responded to reports that most of the stunts in her new action-thriller were performed by stunt doubles. Sharing a snapshot of the Guardian’s film review, she wanted to show everyone that she did her own stunts and wasn’t just standing around.
The reviewer said, “Stunt doubles probably did the heavy lifting in the blurry-edited hand-to-hand combat sequences and sequences where [her character] Grabs a giant drone and flies into the air. But you can see Beckinsale clearly running around in medium shots and close-ups.” The review added, “Aside from a bruise or a bruise caused by weird makeup, Beckinsale is unrealistically attractive everywhere else.” It is visible.”
“As Kate’s stunt double on this job I can attest that she has done a lot [than] Medium and close-up shots at that!I🙄,” Beckinsale’s stunt double, Laura Wortler, supported her in an Instagram comment.
