will.i.am is showing his support for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris ahead of the US election results. The singer released a new single and music video on his YouTube channel called Yes She Can, where he makes a case for Harris’ presidency with the line, ‘We’re gonna get a female president.’ (Also Read: Lady Gaga rallies for Kamala Harris, sings ‘God Bless America’ to end her final campaign)

In the song’s opening lines, the singer invokes Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump. The song’s lyrics begin: “Mom, what’s wrong with America?/ Why can’t we get along in America?/ Something’s going on in America./ People were entertained by hunters.”

He then continued singing, showing support for Kamala Harris and predicting her to become the next President. He sings, “We immigrants are all different characters, but together, you know, we can break down the barriers/ So register and vote for your life.” Then he says, “Do it for your daughters and your sons and your wife./ If you’re a woman vote for your rights, and don’t let them take away your rights./ We can be better off than ever before ./ We’re going to have a woman president.”

The singer posted the video on his Instagram account and said in the caption, “This is a heartfelt song celebrating Kamala Harris and the power of all people… With Election Day around the corner, I wanted to promote the movement, and make a call Wanted to have.” A call to action, and a promise of what we can achieve together…”

He added, “Join me as we shine a light on not only Kamala Harris’s journey and the change she is bringing, but also the everyday heroes and #powerfulwomen who breathe life into the world. It is a celebration of resilience, hope and invincible spirit…”

The US Presidential Election 2024 is scheduled to be held on November 5, with the results likely to be declared on November 6.
