Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed a few things about the characters that may soon make their debut in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. “When we were preparing for Avengers: Endgame years ago, it was about getting to the grand finale of our story, and then we had to start all over again. This time, on the road to Secret Wars, we already know very well what is going to happen, whether it is the story till then or beyond that. Miles Morales was introduced with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which was the first Marvel film to win the award for Best Animated Film. Its sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was released last year, and the threequel, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is also set for release next year. But Kevin revealed that he plans to introduce Black Spider-Man Miles into the live-action MCU soon.

“We are committed to Blade. We love this character, we love his version of Mahershala (Ali). And rest assured, we’ll let the public know whenever we change direction with a project, or are still trying to figure out how it fits into our schedule. You are updated about what is going on. But I can say that this character will make it to the MCU,” Kevin said.

The character of Blade was originally played by Wesley Snipes, who reprized the role in Deadpool and The Wolverine. However, Marvel is now investing more in Chloé Zhao’s reboot version in the 2021 film Eternals starring Mahershala Ali.
