Martha Stewart at the Drew Barrymore Show

The 83-year-old appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday to promote her new cookbook, Martha: The Cookbook, when Drew got a little up close and personal. Drew sat right next to Martha on the couch and asked if there was anything that made her feel “soft and gooey.”

Martha seemed confused by the question, then said, “Soft and sticky… treat.” At this, Drew began to caress her shoulder and said, “When you’re treated like a lady.” Martha looked intelligently at the audience, smiled uncomfortably for a few seconds and then quipped, “You’re of the wrong gender.”

Drew plopped down dramatically on the other end of the couch and said, “I know… the way it’s going with men, though, Martha, I’m not so sure anymore.”

Attracted by his ‘touchy-feely’ behavior

In the past, many users have pointed out how Drew gets very close with her guests on the show. in one Interview Earlier this year, Drew defended her behavior during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying: “I will try to practice physical distancing, although that is not my strong suit. First, we will always be big on happiness, laughter and feeling good. It was something I always wanted to do but I never thought we’d be launching in a pandemic. And trying to dabble in happiness and good comedy at that time was really weird and wacky.
