Directed by Siva, the fantasy action drama received mixed reception from both audiences and critics. Despite the lukewarm response, the film is on its way to cross the Rs 150 crore mark in a few days.

Studio Green, one of the creators of Canguwaofficially announced that the film has grossed Rs 127.64 crore worldwide within its first three days. On the fourth day, Canguwa It collected around Rs 10.50 crore nett at the domestic box office, which shows a slight improvement in the second and third day earnings. According to Sacanilc, its four-day total in India has reached Rs 53.85 crore. On Sunday, the Tamil version of the film recorded an occupancy rate of 22.07% in Indian theatres. To split collections: Canguva It earned Rs 24 crore on the first day, Rs 9.5 crore on the second day, Rs 9.85 crore on the third day and Rs 10.50 crore on the fourth day, taking the total earning at the domestic box office till now to Rs 53.85 crore.

With a huge budget of over Rs 350 crore, Canguwa One of the most expensive films of the year. The film is aiming to surpass the grandeur of blockbuster films like Pushpa And SinghamThe film has been shot in seven different countries.

The film is directed by Shiva and stars Suriya, Disha Patani and Bobby Deol in the lead roles. It also stars Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Radin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandraj and KS Ravikumar in supporting roles. Initially announced in the year 2019, the film was put on hold for a short time due to the pandemic. Kanguva was revived in 2022. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music. Vetri Palanisamy and Nishadha Yusuf are handling the film’s cinematography and editing respectively. It was released on 14 November.
