Brad Pitt’s parents suffered a heartbreaking separation from their grandchildren due to his legal battle with Angelina Jolie.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s lengthy legal battle has estranged the former actor’s parents from their grandchildren. Grandparents who once lived for their grandchildren have now been forced to live with a “heartbreaking” distance from them for the past eight years. The former Hollywood couple has six children – Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, Knox, and Vivienne. The couple was married between 2014 and 2016.

Pitt’s parents fear separation from grandchildren
Pitt’s parents, William and Jane Pitt, have been among those negatively affected by the legal battle between the actors. Grandparents now fear that they will “never be able” to spend quality time with their grandchildren again. “Brad Pitt’s parents haven’t been able to see their beloved grandchildren for almost eight years amid the ongoing divorce and legal battle between Brad and Angelina,” an insider told the Daily Mail.
The loving grandparents played an active role in the children’s lives before the end of Pitt and Jolie’s marriage. The two were often seen spending time together. The source added, “Before their separation, they were a part of the kids’ lives and they all spent a lot of time together. It’s very sad to see that this is no longer the case. It’s one thing for the children not to see their father, but it’s heartbreaking for Jane and Bill to have no contact with their precious grandchildren.”
“He’s 80 years old and to think he’ll never be able to spend time with his kids again is unbelievable,” the source said.

Disagreement is difficult for both sides
Watching Pitt’s children Zahara and Shiloh drop their father’s surname from their names has been difficult for the grandparents, who live in Missouri. A separate source told the news outlet that the estrangement has been “tragic” for both parties. “They are grandparents who live for their grandchildren but haven’t seen them in years,” the insider said. It is sad for both sides.”
Jolie’s recently estranged father, Jon Voigt, also shared that he “doesn’t talk to his grandchildren that much [he would] Like” and asked the former couple to make peace so their children can have some stability.
