In an interview with India Today, Shoojit shared that while many people compare Abhishek to his father, he noticed how Abhishek was very similar to his mother Jaya Bachchan, especially his eyes, mannerisms and way of speaking. Method He also said that he has seen a purity in Jaya Bachchan’s roles in films like ‘Mahanagar’ and ‘Abhiman’ and that is evident in Abhishek as well.

He told the publication, “Everyone talks about how much he is like his father, but I have seen a lot of Jaya Di, especially in her eyes, in her behavior and in the way she talks. We have seen Jaya Di in films like Mahanagar or Abhiman…she was so pure. I saw the same purity in Abhishek. His eyes spoke to me.”

Abhishek-Amitabh’s acting process

Talking about the different acting processes of both, Shoojit threw light on their working process. He said, “With Bachchan sir, he likes to rehearse for hours. But Abhishek likes to roam around on the set, understand everything and read the script again and again. However, for this film he was very simple and disciplined.” He dedicated himself completely to become Arjuna. Even on the sets you won’t see anything else except him.”

Shoojit also said that Abhishek’s personal life as a ‘girl dad’ also resonated with the film ‘I Want to Talk’. “He has a beautiful relationship with his daughter Aaradhya and I think that’s what connects him to the story,” he said.

Talking about Abhishek’s commitment to the role, Shoojit said, “He really prepared himself for this film. He even showed me his body and said if I wanted a bigger belly he could eat more. What you see on the poster is everything.” Real.”

Meanwhile, ‘I Want to Talk’ releases in theaters on Friday, November 22, 2024.
