This unprecedented effort eclipsed the great Sunil Gavaskar and Krishnamachari Srikkanth’s 191-run partnership in the Sydney Test in 1986.

Notably, this double century partnership is the first of its kind for Indian openers in Australia, which is a testament to the skill and resilience of the pair against challenging conditions.
