Amitabh Bachchan's decision on Abhishek i want to talk: "Let them say what they say"

New Delhi:

Amitabh Bachchan never forgets to appreciate the performance of son Abhishek. Amitabh Bachchan wrote a detailed praise post about Abhishek’s I Want to Talk in his latest blog entry. Praising the spirit of the film, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Some films invite you to be entertained.. Some films invite you to be the film. I want to talk.. That’s just what it does.. It Invites you to become the movie.. It gently lifts you from your seat in the theater and equally gently places you inside the screen on which it is being projected.. And you swim into its life Let’s see… any attempt to avoid this or Not likely..escapism..and..Abhishek..you are not Abhishek..you are the Arjun Sen of the film.

Apart from Abhishek’s performance, his personal life also remains a topic of discussion. Taking an indirect reference to that, Mr Bachchan wrote, “Let them say what they say.. but this is what I say.. say for the film.. and I am remembering the words of my respected Babuji: Achhe People thought that I was good, but bad considered me bad.. Whatever was their need, not to recognize them, it was their ‘need’ to consider me good or bad.. Whatever was their ‘need’, they recognized me by that. “

Mr Bachchan continued his philosophical musings and wrote, “Your greed for the good in me may be good… your greed for expressing the evil in me may be bad… but your ‘need’ to think good or think bad.” Was.. and that was my identity.. it wasn’t who I was.. it was your need to think I was bad.. or think I was good.. it was your need to understand me..a There was a ‘need’ to consider him good.. There was a ‘need’ to consider him bad.. and that ‘need’ was what you wanted, how much you recognized me.

“The final blow of sarcasm!!! And reality.. You think someone is good because you need them to think so for you.. You think someone bad because you need them to think so for you.. Good and Your need for the bad was deliberate, because of how much you have valued my identity as the eternal truth of life!!!” He ended his note with these words.

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, I Want to Talk is based on a father-daughter relationship when Abhishek Bachchan (Arjun Sen) is on the verge of a life-changing surgery. In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee wrote, “I Want to Talk plays on the tropes that prop up stories of ‘ terminally ill’ people but it defies genre conventions sparingly, sensitively and with quietly devastating effect. Uses with.”
