Keira Knightley has decided not to be a part of any film franchise and this is because of her experience with Pirates of the Caribbean. “It’s a weird thing when you have something that’s both making you and breaking you at the same time. I was looked at as s–t because of them, and yet because they performed so well “I was given the opportunity to do those films. The experience was so upsetting for her that Keira has no interest in returning to the film franchise. He added, “The hours are crazy. These are years of your life, you have no control over where you are filming, how long you are filming, what you are filming.”
The Oscar-nominated actor debuted as Elizabeth Swann in 2003’s Curse of the Black Pearl. He was also seen in 2006’s Dead Man’s Chest and 2007’s At World’s End. While the franchise was a huge success, Keira was subject to speculation about her thin body and whether she suffered from an eating disorder.

Keira was cast in the first part of the massive world of Pirates of the Caribbean at the age of 17. The London-born actor had already been acting in commercials, stage and small screen parts for over a decade. However, she became popular with 2002’s Bend It Like Beckham. But Pirates changed his career. In the same interview, Keira admitted that she had a “mental breakdown” at the age of 22, the same year Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End was released.
The actor appeared briefly in the fifth Pirates film, 2011’s Dead Men Tell No Tales. She has not commented on whether she will appear in a sixth Pirates film, which has been repeatedly discussed by Disney representatives since 2019.
On the work front, Keira is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix thriller series Black Doves, in which she plays a British spy caught in a risky love affair.
