New Delhi: Actor Nagarjuna’s younger son Akhil Akkineni has officially got engaged to Zainab Rawadji, adding to the joy in the Akkineni family.
On Tuesday, Akhil took to social media to share the exciting news with his fans and followers. The actor posted a series of photos with Zainab and wrote, “I found my forever. Happy to announce that Zainab Rawadji and I are happily engaged.”

Proud father Nagarjuna also shared his excitement on social media. He expressed his happiness over the engagement on his X (formerly Twitter) account. “We are thrilled to announce the engagement of our son, @AkhilAkkineni8, and our future daughter-in-law, Zainab Rawadji! We couldn’t be happier to welcome Zainab to our family. The announcement comes a few days before Akhil’s elder brother Naga Chaitanya gets married to actress Sobhita Dhulipala. Reacting to the news of his brother’s engagement, Naga Chaitanya expressed his happiness over Zoom, saying, “I am very happy for Akhil. His fiancee Zainab is a lovely girl and I’m very happy that they have decided to spend their lives together.” He later added, ‘But, they will get married in 2025.’
Akhil was previously engaged to fashion designer Shriya Bhupal, but their engagement, which was planned for 2017, was canceled due to unknown reasons.
Akhil Akkineni, a popular actor in Telugu cinema, is known for his roles in films like Sisindri, Atadukundam Raa, Mr. Majnu and Agent. While in India, he has steadily built a strong career in the South Indian film industry.
