Dhanush’s move comes days after his threat last week in which he warned of legal action if the material (in Nayanthara’s documentary) was not removed within 24 hours. The statement from Dhanush’s legal representative read, “Advise your client to stop using the material infringing my client’s copyright on the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in your client’s documentary titled Nayanthara Beyond the Fairytale within 24 hours , otherwise my client will be removed.” Forced to initiate appropriate legal action, including seeking damages of Rs 10 crore, against your client and Netflix India.

Nayanthara had shared an open letter on Instagram, criticizing Dhanush for touching “an all-time low” by demanding a compensation of Rs 10 crore from the young actress for the use of a few seconds of footage. .
