Ali Fazal has officially completed shooting his portions for Mani Ratnam’s Tamil-language pan-India film thug Life Starring Kamal Haasan. Calling the director a “visionary”, the actor said the last two months have been transformative for him as an artiste. The film marks Fazal’s debut in the South Indian film industry, which also stars Trisha, Abhirami, Nassar, Joju George, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf and Aishwarya Lakshmi in lead roles.
Ali shared: “It is an utmost honor to work under the visionary direction of Mani Ratnam sir. The opportunity to share the screen with an icon like Kamal Haasan sir and the rest of the extraordinary cast is something I will always cherish.”
He revealed why the last two months have been a learning experience for him.
“The last two months have been transformative for me as an actor – learning Tamil, immersing myself in a new cinematic culture and pushing my creative boundaries.”
Praising the filmmaker, Ali said: “Mani sir has created a world that is so rich and rich, and I can say with confidence that this film will be a cinematic feast for audiences in India and beyond. Will happen. I can’t wait for everyone to see the magic we’ve created together.”
