Mumbai: Actress Khushi Kapoor, who made her Bollywood debut with the streaming film ‘The Archies’, attended the Haldi ceremony of Indian writer Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Alia Kashyap.
On Sunday, the actress shared several pictures and videos from the Haldi ceremony on her Instagram. In a video, Khushi was seen applying turmeric to Alia. Another video shows Alia kissing her fiance.
Khushi wrote in the caption, “Haldi morning”.
The actress was seen wearing a yellow ethnic outfit as per the theme of the wedding festivities.
Khushi is the sister of Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor. She made her debut with ‘The Archies’, which was directed by Zoya Akhtar. In film, she was seen playing the role of Betty Cooper in ‘The Archies’, in which she starred alongside Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi ‘Dot’ Sehgal and Yuvraj Menda.
The film is a live-action adaptation of ‘The Archies’, a fictional rock band that appeared in the 1960s animated cartoon, ‘The Archie Show’. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film was declared a disaster by critics and unanimously panned the film.
Meanwhile, the actress will next be seen opposite Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan in an upcoming untitled film.
The film is directed by Advait Chandan of ‘Secret Superstar’ fame, and is an adaptation of the hit Tamil romantic comedy film ‘Love Today’.
The shooting of the film reportedly began in Mumbai and then its second schedule began in Delhi-NCR in June this year.
She also has ‘Nadaaniyan’ in the pipeline in which she will be seen with Saif Ali Khan’s elder son Ibrahim Ali Khan. In December last year, it was revealed that Dharmatic Entertainment, the digital arm of Dharma Productions, is planning to produce a direct-to-OTT film. This will also be the directorial debut of Shauna Gautam. Later, Karan Johar also took to his Instagram Stories to congratulate Shauna for her debut film. More information about the film has not been revealed yet.
