Nikhita Gandhi, who will be part of the Royal Stag Boombox (RSB) season 3 (January 25), the Royal Stag Boombox (25 January) of the Royal Stag of Nikhita Gandhi, is excited about the lineup of cooperation. In its third edition, RSB has continued its tradition of bringing various styles of music – Bollywood and hip -hop – and designed new tunes and a original soundscape. This innovative approach makes Nikhita ready for this.

Nikhita says, “Many people do not know that I am also a musician.” This is an opportunity for me to experiment with new subjects and make music as per my wish. As a singer, I just do what is given to me, but it has always been my first love to create. When I get this opportunity, I will not let it go in any way. “

This year’s RSB line-up includes artists like Armaan Malik, Amit Trivedi, Niti Mohan, Nikhita Gandhi, Speed, Ekka and DJ Yogi. The festival will visit four major cities- Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai, Gurugram and Guwahati. Completing the live event, the RSB in-Studio will also form a series of cooperation, in which the original tracks mixing the hip-hop elements will be prepared. These single, music videos, will be released on digital platforms.

Nikhita, who grew up in Bengal, has lent her voice in films in many Indian languages. He has sung Tamil, Telugu, Canada, Marathi, Bengali and certainly Hindi songs. She says that she feels the most comfortable by singing a song in Bengali. “Apart from Bengali, I am comfortable in songs in Hindi and Punjabi. I have also sung in South Indian languages, but among them I feel the most comfortable in Telugu. This is probably because I have sung a song for many Telugu films. ”

Nikhita sung More than 14 Telugu movies, some are popular Yevade Subramaniam (Beautiful life), Arjun Reddy (Tele), and Majri (No Gundelo).

The Royal Stag Boombox of the Seigram focuses on the music priorities of the youth, which provides a platform for artists to cooperate and detect new forms of music. Nikhita says, “Current styles like hip-hop are gaining immense popularity, while Bollywood tunes will always maintain their attraction. Such an experiment allows artists and musicians to ignite the imagination of the younger generation by mixing and presenting music in a new avatar.

Nikhita, trained in Hindustani classical music, says she still makes songs using harmonium. “This is the only tool I have learned, and I feel most comfortable in composing with it. When I grew up, I was fond of listening to music, R&B and pop. I am also a big fan of Jazz and Indian folk. Currently, I am working on projects that mix hip-hop and folk effects that are two styles that I love.

On the subject of rebuilding the classics, Nikhita says, “When I am asked to re -form a classic song, my focus is on what is expected to me.” I take care that I do not look like a original singer because it is not a matter of entertainment. Personally, I enjoy rebuilding classics because it offers a new approach on music. My first remix, from Ittefaq (night rest), was an important milestone for me, especially because it was originally sung by Ashaji.

Nikhita says about her current work schedule, “It is like a studio to another. To be honest, it would be surprising for me if a day is without recording, “She ends her talk smiling.

The program will be held on 25 January at Bolder Hills Gachibovali.
