Chandrika Tandon, Indian-American singer and entrepreneur, won their first grammy for their albums Triveni Sunday in the best new era, surroundings, or chanting album category.

The singer shared the honor with his colleagues, South African floatist Vautter Kelman and Japanese cellist Iru Matsumoto. This was his second Grammy enrollment after the 2009 Soul Call.

The name of the album, Triveni-The “Sangam” in Sanskrit means – reflects the intention of trio to create music cut beyond cultural boundaries.
