Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan recently opened up about the challenges of making the next installment of India’s largest superhero franchise, which shows that the lack of budget has been a major obstacle.

In an interview with the song, Rakesh Roshan admitted that he was struggling to finance the film due to his massive scale. He said, “We have been waiting for many years, but I am unable to finalize the budget. The scale of the film is very big, and if I make it short, it will look like a simple film. Today’s children watch so many Hollywood superhero films that even a little mistake will be criticized. ,

Rakesh Roshan further stated that competition with high production price of Hollywood superhero films from Marvel and DC is almost impossible due to financial limitations. “We have to be very careful. We cannot make films at that level because we do not have that kind of budget. Our budget does not allow us. So we have to focus more on the story. While Krrish 4 will have large action sequences, instead of being 10, we can have only 2 or 3, ”he said.

Today, in a previous interview with India Today, Rakesh Roshan expressed concern about the dramatic footfall post-pandemic. He mentioned that while Krrish 4 is considered the biggest film in the franchise, it is difficult to risk when the audience is still hesitant to return to theaters.

“The world is small, and today children are used to watch Hollywood superhero films with a budget of $ 500-600 million. Meanwhile, our budget is only 200-300 crores, which is smaller than. That’s why we are catching back for now, ”he said.

While Roshan did not say that Krrish 4 has been canceled, his statements indicate that the project is in grip until they detect financial aspects. Despite being one of the most successful superhero franchises of Krrish Bollywood, competition with Hollywood standards without a large scale is a major challenge.
