Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chaired a comprehensive meeting of the Advisory Board of Waves through a video conference for India’s status as a global entertainment center in the world.
The Prime Minister is engaged in a virtual talks with top professionals and industry leaders from India and around the world, who are part of the advisory board of the wave summit. Waves is a global summit that brings the world of entertainment, creativity and culture together, the Prime Minister’s Office said in an official statement on Friday.

In a post on X, he wrote: “Just concluded a comprehensive meeting of the Board of Waves, the global summit that brings the world of entertainment, creativity and culture together. The members of the advisory board are different which are different. The eminent people of the regions are life, who not only reiterated their support, but also shared valuable inputs to further our efforts to make India a global entertainment hub. ”
Waves 2025 is being organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to celebrate and enhance India’s creative and media economy.
From 5 to 9 February 2025, as part of the Waves Summit, the Ministry is also starting the Create in India Challenge, Season 1, which will facilitate many ‘challenges’ with the aim of promoting innovation and creativity. The summit has brought industry leaders, stakeholders and innovators together.
The summit was earlier to be held in November with the International Film Festival (IFFI) in Goa.
PM Modi on Friday interacted with top professionals from India and around the world, who are part of the advisory board of Waves Summit.
He was engaged in virtual discussions with actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Diljit Dosanj, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Chiranjeevi, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, and Anupam Kher, as well as music composer R Rahman.
The Prime Minister also interacted with business leaders, including Reliance Industries President Mukesh Ambani, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and Mahindra and Mahindra President Anand Mahindra. In December 2024, Prime Minister Modi announced the World Audio Visual Entertainment (Waves) Summit, calling it an important step towards making India a global material building hub. He urged young professionals in the creative industry to attend the summit, which was scheduled for next year.
“Next year, for the first time, the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit i.e. waves are going to be held in our country. At the Wave Summit, the media and entertainment industry veteran and creative world will come to India. It will come to India. Global material is an important step towards creating a center.
