Mumbai: Actor Harshvardhan Rane, whose superhit film ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ has been re -released in theaters, shared an interesting story related to his casting in the film.

The actor spoke with IANS, and shared how casting was already done for his share as he was late in auditions. However, when he came to know about the film, he requested the producers to take a look at his audition. It does not matter if the manufacturers rejected him after the audition, but he just wanted to perform in front of him.

The actor told IANS, “I begged and begged to get this film. Of course, I was extremely confident about the role. I reached the audition by 4 months late and casting had already been done. He asked me to leave the office and not waste his time. I said, ‘Please, just see my audition. I am ready to do it here. He said, ‘You are wasting your time because the man who has been selected is sitting in the next office. And the hero is reading the script ‘. I said, ‘Sir, I am not asking you to change anything. I request that you let me just an audition and throw it away. ‘After a lot of requests, he agreed and his assistant Ravi ji took my audition’.

He further mentioned, “Then Radhika Mam and Vinay Sir (directors of the film) saw it. They came after an hour and asked me to do it again. I did it Again. Then he came after an hour and a half. Vinay Sir had tears in his eyes. He hugged me and said, ‘You have done a lot of damage because all clothes and costumes were done. We have to change everything because the poster shoot was after 2 days. ‘I said,’ Sir, thank you very much but I have a request. I want to go to the washroom ‘. He said, ‘Why didn’t you tell us before?’ Therefore, he pointed to the office. When I went there, the hero was reading the script. I did not have the courage to see her in her eyes ”.

The actor is happy that the film has created such a strong heritage in the last decade due to its story, performance and music.

“But the fact that I had to beg for this role, to show that I was very confident from the beginning. After reading the story and its summary. I am happy that it took 9-10 years but at least people understood my views. I mean, people were also connected what I was doing. So, this is a good, sweet feeling. And in these 9-10 years, you have done many films ”, he said.
