Ed Sheeran sang Janhvi Kapores Song Chick with Shilpa Rao

Bengaluru: Singer Ed Sheeran gave a great performance as a part of his ‘+ – = / x’ India tour in Bengaluru.

On Sunday, the British singer-songwriter joined by Shilpa Rao during the concert, marked a reputed cooperation as she sang a Telugu song ‘Chutmale’ on the stage.

Sheeran’s Bengaluru concert was full of wonders. With superhit songs like ‘Perfect’, ‘Photograph’ and others in his arsenal, the singer decided to elevate his performance after performing the hit Telugu song ‘Chutmale’ on Sunday.

The singer was included on stage by Shilpa Rao, the original singer of the song. Ed Sheeran’s performance thrilled the audience as he shouted loudly for his performance.

Taking on his Instagram handle, Ed Sheeran shared a snippet of his performance with the concert. In the video, the British singer sang the Telugu songs of ‘Chutmale’ almost completely, as he sang a couple with Shilpa Rao.
“A real privilege to share the stage with the voice of @Shilparao for the previous time, a real privilege to share the stage tonight and learn a new language!” Ed Sheeran wrote.


A few hours before the concert, Ed Sheeran suffered a blow during his impromptu performance on the Church Street, when the Bengaluru police suddenly stopped their song by taking out the speaker plug out.

The singer, who is currently on a tour of his India, replied hours later, claiming that his team had received prior permission to perform in the area.

A viral video features the artist to intervene and cut the cables before starting the performance, which prevents the performance within a minute.

Speaking on the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Shakar T Tekkananavar for Central Bengaluru clarified the situation.

Tekkannanavar explained, “A member among the event organizers came to meet me to seek permission for road performance in Church Street. I refused to allow because the church street is very crowded. It was asked to vacate the place. ”

Ed Sheeran is currently on his tour of India. He performed in Bengaluru on Sunday. He has already performed in Hyderabad and Chennai.

During his Chennai concert, he joined the stage by mythological composer R Rahman. Both of them rendered a classic song ‘Urvashi’.

Prior to the concert, Sheeran also met R Rahman and his son R Amin. Rahman shared pictures of his meeting on Instagram, where Sheeran was seen taking pictures and sitting on Rahman’s music console. The caption reads, “Photos by Ed Sheeran.”

He will also perform in Shillong and Delhi NCR in the coming days.
