Munwar is strong with Raina in the midst of the Farooqui controversy: 'My ji is going to be so strong'

Mumbai: Stand-up comedian Samay Raina and influential-Podcaster Ranveer Allabia have been caught in a storm of Indian comedy scene controversy after facing serious backlash on viral clips from India’s latent. The incident arising from an inappropriate question about parents and sex expressed nationwide displeasure, causing extensive criticism, legal investigation and hot debate about censorship and artistic expression in India.

As the social media flared up with mixed reactions, the popular comedian Munwar Farooqui proceeded to support his fellow comedian. Taking his social media handle, Munwar shared a powerful message, supporting Ads during this difficult time.

“Ads, Art which is the spring is the wrath of spring, daboge, UTIA will be tolored. My life is going to be so strong, you will see, ”Munwar wrote, the more the artists are suppressed, the stronger the artists are. His words echoed with many people in the entertainment industry, who see the dispute as a part of a major debate on creative freedom.

Munwar, who has faced legal troubles and restrictions in the past due to his comic content, is not a stranger to controversy. The cancellation of his show on religiously sensitive jokes and the arrest of the past made him a vocal lawyer for artistic freedom, and his support for Samay is no surprise.

Amid the rising backlash, Samay Raina issued an official statement addressing the controversy. In his post, he expressed how heavy the situation for him was and he confirmed the removal of the latent video of All India from his YouTube channel.

“Whatever is happening, it has been too much to handle me. I have removed all the latent videos of India from my channel. My sole purpose was to make people laugh and give good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure that their inquiry is properly ended. Thank you.”

Despite his apology and removal of the material, resentment against him has not diminished. Political and social groups keep demanding strict action, while others believe the backlash is inconsistent and reflects the growing clampdown on humor and free speech in the country.
