Bangalore hosts Goa's Day Susa family with a different reality

Three artists, three different styles, a family. Meet de Sosus – Francis, Verodina and Nadia – whose work is displayed at gallery time and place. Through his work, one gets a glimpse of life not only in Goa, but also an insight in human nature. With the same parts of humor and reality, in this family performance of creativity, the audience either wants to see his favorite beach city again or wonder how humans can be similar to both or perhaps.

On a phone call from Goa, the family talked about their work, their life and a different reality, their first exhibition together. Part:

A day in the life

Francis de Sosa says, “There is always a place to keep reforms, growing, and the subject is what I see in my day-to-day life.” “It is not that I am not disturbed by what happens in the political field, but I choose not to display it in my work. I choose to take a different direction, where I portray a better picture, with hopes and dreams of better life. ,

Most of the functions of Francis such as salesmen or fish eaters are a simple depiction of calm life in a small town. Anyone can easily be related to everyday images, executed bright and boldly in watercolor, gauche and acrylic. Others such as Lonely in the Garden, Painter or First Date, are you looking inside.

“What do you do on holiday? You are in a quiet place, not asking any intensive philosopher questions about life. This kind of thing I try to portray. I do not consume my work in terms of style. I only paint what I can do. ,

“I enjoy the color and that’s why most of my pieces are so colorful,” he says, “adding,” one of my hobbies is to collect paint and I have brands from all over the world. When you are selling your work, you have to give the best material, paper and paint to your customers. There was no compromise on that. ,

Most of the work on performance in a different reality for the show was done, says Francis, who last did a show in Bangalore in 2008. “I attract almost continuously and perhaps one of the four or five images, one of them turns into each painting.” He says that there are never pre-proclamation on his subject, “I think it will limit me.”

And while life is a collection in itself that constantly surprises, Francis says, “I am nervous with a rote, stuck in a rote. You are always in that field of self -doubt. You don’t know if you are quite good, always think how good you are or how bad you are. ,

“One has to be courageous. For me, art is an adventure, and I have to strengthen myself. You cannot sell that much, but there is always a possibility of search. ,

An internal drive channel

Worodina de Susa, the most of the three of the three, says that their deep expressions come through their work. For four decades, a terracotta artist, Vedina has been working in stoneware for the last six years.

“Usually when I am working, I go to a state of mental silence. I come in contact with my inner myself and synchronize with my hands that I feel, “Verodina says, which starts her day with a period of attention.” My compositions are a conscious Not at the level, but a subconscious one. “

She says that her creativity takes her curriculum, and once the figures go out, she swings to her work, “I felt what I was making at the time of making.” However, she admits that she does not like naming her work, “limits an artist’s perception.”

Stoneware is designed with ceramic and no more than two feet in size, at least to work in soft colors of Verodina. The pieces taken for a ride and red herring smile to you, while others such as tracks, by love are a throbac for the more cool speed of the channel and the bibbackiatic life.

“Generally, colors used on ceramic work are loud and jerky. But those who are trying to show me are not in the sink with him. I use muted shades because I think they are best suited for my pieces. I try to portray the inner peace that experiences through my work because it is not some descriptive or tangible. Those colors that I connect peacefully, ”she says.

Fine art painter continues, “When I feel something shaking, I channel that energy in my work and make about two or three pieces. I keep working until I feel a feeling of dryness or emptiness. I go back to work only after feeling fresh. ,

Arthritis

At first glance, the work of Nadia de Susa is cutecy and eccentric, but if you can see the humor, you make sure to give some more glimpse.

“Everyone explains art in different ways. For me, humor in life is everything, because it is a way to compete with me. Whether I am watching a film or reading a book, there is a built -in spirit in it and it is also true about my work. I take a little dark position and make it funny, ”calls Nadia.

“Most of my work has a dark venture – either someone is being eaten or something is being stolen or cats are being conducted by rats against their will. Although it comes as an appeal to children as well as adults, I think it is mainly for adults, “she says.

Woodland failed to inspect social fairs by organisms, the fantastic works of Nadia’s Canvas Wordplay and the tongue-in-tongue humor are shaken brilliantly. For example, He shouted bloody murderWhile portraying a redhead peacefully on a picnic blanket, even the flock of crow closes with a slightly white mouse, the language command and the pop culture will appeal to them with a Smidgen of Trivia.

That can be said Marriage in hormuz Or The orthodontistWhile others Greedy boar And Losers have to eat a wormHuman speaks about the unpleasant aspect of nature.

“I really enjoy it when people look at my work, and then suddenly chakli because they have come to know. I am originally a storyteller and I myself like a good story. Was, my father will make fairy tales about fiction for me; somehow the story is now part of my work, “Artists say, who paint in water color and” a little gauche “.

talking about The Skunk that stole a FerrariNadia says, “It just came to me. After listening to the title, somehow a connection was made in my head A monk who sold his Ferrari And I thought, ‘This is a great idea for a painting’, and I surprised myself. Come with ideas is the most difficult part, because you do not always think creatively. Sometimes everything stops and you need to reboot. ,

In addition, those ideas were not always. Growing in a house with the artist parents, Nadia admitted, “I went to a different direction from my parents, although I also studied at Kala College, as he had done. However, when he took painting, I chose applied art which is advertising and commercial art. ,

“But I used to hate completely. I decided to take a break in nature, spending about six months in the forests of South Goa with my uncle. This rejuvenated me and I suddenly discovered my style. She was in 2019, “she says.

Regarding the exhibition, Nadia says that she has particularly worked for the show. “I usually do not do my painting at home, which I am practicing or doing for myself. When I came to know about the show about a year ago, I started making for it. However, I left behind the tasks that felt forced and brought only those who used to feel natural and where thoughts flowed, “she says, about the selection process for a different reality. while talking.

A separate reality by D Susa family will be displayed at gallery time and location by 23 February, 2025.
