Mumbai: Popular television actress Deepika Kakar Ibrahim, who made a much awaited comeback on screen with celebrity MasterShef, has now revealed the real reason behind her unexpected departure from the show. While fans were excited to see his showcase his cooking skills, his journey was cut due to a recurring health issue, making him impossible to continue in the competition.

In a hearty video shared on her YouTube channel, Dipika opened a painful decision to move away from the show. He revealed that an old muscle injury in his left shoulder revived during acute cooking challenges, making it difficult for him to perform.

“Unfortunately, my journey on Celebrity MasterShef is over. During one of the festive-themed episodes, I began to experience severe pain in my left shoulder. It became so bad that the production team had to take me to the hospital. First, everyone was worried because it was on my left, but thankfully my ECG report was normal, ”he shared.

Deepika further explained that doctors later discovered lymph nodes near her shoulder, which required immediate medical attention. Although he was placed on medicine and an attempt was made to continue filming, the pain returned after a few days. Despite his determination to fulfill his commitment to the show, discomfort only deteriorated.

“I didn’t want to return, so I pushed myself to keep shooting. But by the end of the day, my condition deteriorated. I finished my dish despite the pain, but after another medical check-up, we came to know that I had a muscle injury in my left hand. This happened when this happened, but there is no specific treatment for it. The only option is to relax, avoid my arm from stress, and sometimes wear a sieve when the pain becomes unbearable, ”he explained.

Addressing her difficult decision to leave, Deepika admitted that it was not an easy call. “I was in a dilemma because Celebrity MasterShef is not just a reality show – this is a competition. If my condition continued to fire, it is not appropriate to continue. My last episode was a wedding challenge, and this was the last time I cooked on the show. The entire production team, including Endemol, was incredibly helpful during my struggle, and I am very grateful for their help, ”he said.

Deepika’s last day on the set was on February 12, with a special guest appearance by actress Hina Khan and her partner Rocky Jaiswal.

While his fans are disappointed to see his exit so soon, he has flooded with messages of support to social media, which is expected to recover his rapid recovery. For now, Deepika is giving priority to her health and focusing on recurrence before taking any new projects.
