Two -time Oscar -winning actor Jean Hackman and his wife, classical pianoist, Betsi Arkawa, along with their dogs were found dead in their Santa Fi, New Mexico, home on Wednesday. Hackman was 95 years old, and Arkawa was 63 years old. Santa F County Sheriff Aden Mendoza confirmed his death on Thursday Santa Fe new mexicaN, stating that there were no immediate signs of foul play. The exact cause and time of death have not been disclosed.

The two -time Academy Award winner Hackman was celebrated for the versatility of his performance in a career spread over six decades. In 1991, Hackman married Arkawa, and the couple moved from Los Angeles to Santa FE, where they lived up to their death. Hackman retired from acting in 2004 after his role Welcome to mousesportLater focused on writing the historic story novel.

Sheriff Mendoza insisted that there is no threat to the community and an active investigation is going on to determine the circumstances around their deaths. Hackman has survived his first marriage by his three children from Fay Maltese: Christopher, Elizabeth Jean and Leslie Anne.
