Mumbai (Maharashtra):
Alia Bhatt’s fans have one reason to celebrate, as her 2014 film ‘Highway’ has returned to theaters to celebrate Women’s Day.
The film, directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Nadidwala grandson Entertainment, will run in PVR and Inox theaters from March 7 to March 13.
In a press note shared by the film’s team, producer Sajid Nadidwala said, “The highway is one of our best films and continues to get immense love even today. It is a timeless classic. Ali is also a specialty of excellent performance by Bhatt and Ramp Hood. I am happy that it is a woman day.
A few days ago, actor Randeep Hooda, who played the role of Mahabir Bhati (one of the kidnappers) in the film, also walked the memory lane and recalled with Imtiaz Ali on the highway, in which Alia Bhatt also acted.
In a press note, Imtiaz, expressing gratitude to Randip, shared, “The highway is a classic because it is a trip, and that too is of love. A pure love that is ruined by class partition in our country. It is not only acceptable in our society. However, it is not only acceptable in our society. It is not only acceptable in our society.
He said, “This was a very disappointing and bitter mind situation. In those days, I won it more off-camera than captured. For years, I am still learning to translate more on camera and have less pain in someone’s real life.”
Released 11 years ago, the highway estimated the ideas of ‘Bandhan’ and ‘freedom’ in a fresh light. Alia played the role of a Delhi girl from a rich house, which was kidnapped by Haryanvi truck driver Hooda in the film.
