
Jaipur: At the prestigious IIFA 2025 Awards, actress Nitanshi Goyal’s first film in Best Actress (Women) was no less than extraordinary.
The actress, who made her debut in Kiran Rao’s acclaimed film ‘Lapata Ladies’, found herself overwhelmed with emotions as she accepted the award for the portrayal of Phool Kumari in the film
Bollywood legends Boman Irani and Bobby Deol presented him the award, and Nitanshi surprised the attendees in a ruby-red gown to mesmer.
However, this was his hearty acceptance speech that actually shifted the audience.
Talking about the victory from ANI, she said, “I was not expecting it,” I was hoping that the missing ladies would win a big victory, but I did not think I would win myself. The other nominated person was incredible, and I am a big fan of all of them. I am really overwhelmed by the love that I have met. “
When asked about the emotional moment, when she could not catch a tear, she revealed, “It has become one thing now. Honestly, I could not stop crying because winning this award is a dream true for every actor, and it finally comes true for me. I am just very grateful.”
Nitanshi also said, “I dedicate this to my mother, who loved everyone, who accepted me-Nitanshi and flower. Kiran Maam, Aamir sir, and a special thanks to the entire team of missing women. And of course, the universe to make it.”
After receiving the honor, Nitanshi talked about the heavy nature of the moment.
“The first thing I did, she was crying and tried to keep a speech together because I could not believe it was happening. Then I put my mother a big hug, and Kiran made a big hug for Maam. It was all just happy tears,” she said.
Looking at the future, Nitanshi expressed enthusiasm about working with more stars.
“There are a lot of people in my list,” he said, “but Shah Rukh is at the top of Sir Chart, followed by Karthik Aryan. It would be surprising to work with any of them.”

‘Missing Ladies’, internationally released as Lost Ladies, is 2023 Hindi-Language Comedy-Drama directed by Kiran Rao.
It tells the story of two newly married brides, who are accidentally exchanged during the train ride in their husband’s homes.
The film, including Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Srivastava and Ravi Kishan, praised their compelling story and performance.
Although it did not make it for Longlist for the Best International Feature Category at the 97th Academy Awards, ‘missing ladies’ continue to win hearts worldwide.
