The makers of the Sunny Deol-starrer ‘Jait’ have issued an official statement that issued an official statement addressing a dispute around a scene in the film, which has given rise to objections from members of the Christian community.

In response to concerns on religious sensitivity, the manufacturers clarified that the scene has been removed in question, confirming their honor to all religions and communities. In a statement released on Friday, the team behind Sunny Deol-Starrer admitted concerns raised by members of the Christian community about a specific scene, which was considered tragic to religious sentiments.

Immediately after criticism, the manufacturers clarified that their intention was never to disrespect any belief or belief system. In the statement, the makers of the Jat said, “Anyone who can be a matter of concern, the film has been a backlash for a specific scene. The scene has been removed from the film with immediate effect. Our intention was not to harm any religious sentiments. We regret it and take a quick action to remove everyone from the film.”

Shortly after a case, actors Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, and director Gopichand Malinani in their latest film allegedly damaged religious sentiments to hurt religious sentiments with a scene involving Prabhu Jesus Christ in their latest film. The case was allegedly filed for religious sentiments under Section 299 of the Indian Judge (BNS) at Sadar police station in Jalandhar. The complaint was lodged by Vikal Gold, a resident of Falriwal village in Jalandhar.

In the police complaint, it was alleged that the accused enrolled the Lord Jesus Christ in the film and mimicked the religious sentiments of the Christian community by imitating a cross -climbing scene.

Earlier, in an official statement, ADCP Headquarters Officer Sukhwinder Singh confirmed that the complaint was recorded by Golgota Gold, a resident of Pholivalewal village in Baatendhar and was a member of the Christian community. The complainant objected to specific scenes in the film, claiming that he was aggressive to the community’s religious beliefs. Based on preliminary investigation, an FIR was lodged against five persons associated with the film.

The scene that gave rise to the controversy showed the character of Rampi Hooda standing under a cross inside a church, located directly above the holy pulp, while worshipers were engaged in prayer – a image that attracted strong criticism and allegations of religious insensitivity.

In a Titular role starring Sunny Deol, ‘Jat’ was released in theaters on 10 April 2025.
