Rotten Tomatoes critic Eric Davis praised the performance and wrote, “George Miller’s #Furiosa is powerhouse action filmmaking at its finest! A brutal and relentlessly paced epic filled with the craziest chases, most aggressive characters, and absolutely stunning cinematography. I love #MadMax movies and I loved this movie!”
Comparison to Mad Max: Fury Road
Collider’s Therese Laxon pointed out the comparison with the 2015 release and said, “I could easily watch 15 hours of movies starring Anya Taylor Joy and Alilah Brown as #Furiosa, though most of their film is fragmented due to the story. Struggles with inconsistent pace. “It won’t match the grandeur of Fury Road, but it doesn’t need to.”
Critic Simon Thompson said, “Jesus George Miller! #Furiosa envelops you. At times it almost surpasses the canvas of the #IMAX format, it is so large – and yet at times it deepens the intimacy. “Echoing cinematic elements from the 50s to the 80s, it’s a rich, smart vision that the artist enjoys.”
