Stebin Ben, Panther take SRCC's Fest Crossroads 2024 by storm

At the actual conclusion of the Delhi University (DU) festive session – Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) intersection – the lines across the campus extended up to Miranda House on one side and Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College on the other. , Sahil Jain, a final year student of Ramjas College, was also among those who used old tricks to get admission. “My brother, who studied in North Campus before the lockdown, always used to tell me how grand the SRCC fest was always! It’s a shame that I couldn’t actually see it just because I was late to campus.”

Those who entered on time had the chance to watch a starry night introduced by rapper Panther, followed by the main artist, singer Stebin Benn. Ben, who performed at the Janaki Devi Memorial College Fest last year, said on the stage, “Standing here, I feel like a student at the fest… lots of love to you all.” After doing tracks like Thoda Thoda Pyaar, Rula Ke Gaya Ishq, Pyar Karte Ho Na, Ben sang Bollywood songs like Ud-Da Punjab, Aadat and Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein. Later he said on stage, “I think everyone has expectations in DU, big artists come but I just want to do something very special! As long as you stand, I’ll sing!” Rohit Kumar, a BA (Hons) Hindi graduate from Rajdhani College, said, “Stebin Ben’s covers of Atif Aslam’s songs are amazing. He really did her justice! But the audience that Panther held, even though there were very few people, was something else altogether!”
