Kareena Kapoor lands in legal trouble for using Bible in title of her book on pregnancy

New Delhi: The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued a notice to Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan on a petition objecting to the title of her book ‘Pregnancy Bible’, saying it has hurt people’s sentiments.

Lawyer Christopher Anthony told ANI that the High Court took cognizance of the petition and issued a notice to Kareena Kapoor.

“Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has launched a book named ‘Pregnancy Bible’, the word Bible is the name of the holy book in Christianity…There is a lot of anger in the society about this…High Court took cognizance and Kareena Kapoor Khan , Issued a notice to Amazon…and sought a reply,” he said.

Kareena, who is a mother of two, had announced that she is writing a book about pregnancy on the birthday of her first child, Taimur, in 2020.

In 2021, Kareena talked about her pregnancy experience while giving a glimpse of her book on Instagram. “There were good days and bad days; some days I was raring to go to work and some days I struggled to get out of bed. This book is a reflection of what I experienced physically and emotionally during both of my pregnancies. It’s a very personal account of what happened.” she wrote.

Kareena, who shares two sons with actor Saif Ali Khan, considers her book as her third child. “I can’t believe I actually agreed to write this book…but here it is. We all have our own unique experiences as expectant moms, but there are also some commonalities and this book Together, I’m sharing my experiences and learnings, and hope it helps you in some way on your journey toward motherhood,” she said.

“Holding both of my children has been the most special time of my life and I’m excited to share those moments and memories with you,” she shared.

UNICEF India recently announced Kareena as its new national ambassador.

On the film front, Kareena is currently enjoying the success of ‘Crew’, in which she shared screen space with Kriti Sanon and Tabu. ‘Crew’, directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, revolves around the journey of three working women set against the backdrop of the aviation industry.
