Aditi Rao Hydari opens up on her marriage plans and relationship with actor Siddharth, says we both have a five-year-old child

New Delhi: Aditi Rao Hydari says she is overwhelmed by the wave of love she has received after Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
Daredevil plays the role of prostitute Bibbojan, who used her closeness to the Nawabs to get information for the revolutionaries. “I’m just getting a taste of what it is,” she says.

She proudly reveals that fiance Siddharth was very impressed with Hiramandi.” I remember when she called me, her voice was choked and she told me that she had to meet Bhansali sir. Once he calmed down, he told me that we now have two freedom fighters at home, my Bibbo and his Karan Singhania from Rang De Basanti.

Aditi and Siddharth got engaged in March this year after a three-year long courtship. The couple met on the sets of Mani Ratnam’s film Maha Samudram in 2020.

“It was a private matter, there was nothing secret about it,” she says. “You could call us Mani Ratnam kids.” Sidhu also considers Mani sir as his guru. He did an MBA because his father was very keen, but soon after he was on the sets of Mani Ratnam because films were what he always wanted to do,” she says fondly.

Talking about their relationship, she candidly reveals that Sidharth and she both come from the same place, despite having different personalities, they complement each other and understand each other well.

“I enjoy talking to him and listening to him. We love what we do. That’s our fuel but we also both have a five-year-old, so there’s always that excitement and we don’t put too much pressure on each other and ourselves. We keep it light. As Sidhu is more interested in method and likes to make things. He can also summarize things and I like to listen to him.. I am more dedicated and intuitive. We are two sides of the same coin, and it is good to keep sharing ideas,” she says with a smile.

However she clearly acknowledges Siddhartha’s talent for languages. “There is pride in the language and I see that in him. Her Hindi is also perfect, but I like to tease her Urdu and check her pronunciation, she says, laughing.

Aditi is all set to walk down the Croisette with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at the Cannes Film Festival. “I am very excited and will have fun,” she says.
