New twist in legal dispute

According to People, Tenuit is claiming that Brad used the money and assets he received from the winery “on his personal expenses and put it into his other business ventures instead of dividends and loan payments”.

“Pitt and Mondo Bongo turned Chateau Miraval into their personal piggy bank,” documents in the countersuit read, “They entered into a series of transactions using Chateau Miraval’s funds, providing Tenuet with profits and loan payments.” has been deprived.” It deserves”.

Court documents allege that Brad “spent millions of his funds on projects that benefited him personally, including more than $1 million on renovating a swimming pool that was used only by him”. .

A jury trial?

The countersuit further states that Brad used Chateau Miraval’s assets to fund a side business, “allowing him to use Chateau Miraval’s image, premises and property for zero or below-market compensation”. .

The company is also claiming that Brad is not allowing Angelina to give full control of the winery to new shareholders. Tenute is demanding a jury trial for all damages, alleging that Brad and his company have not repaid a €20 million loan given by Angelina to support the winery.

Brad’s team or his legal counsel have not responded to the new claims. However, according to People, a source familiar with the new legal twist called the allegations “absurd.” The source said Brad was behind the success of the winery as he used his connections to propel the business forward.

More about the legal battle

The feud stems from a lawsuit that Brad filed in 2022. In the lawsuit, they allege that Angelina’s sale of her stake in the winery in 2021 to Tenute and its parent company, Stoli Group, is against the agreement they made. It was about not selling without getting approval from others.

Angelina is claiming that she tried to sell her stake to Brad but he insisted on signing an extensive NDA, which he refused to do. According to Brad, this was a standard business NDA, adding that the sale “jeopardizes the reputation of the business Brad has built”.

Brad and Angelina got married in 2014. Angelina filed for divorce just two years later. They have six children together.
