Hollywood legend Tom Hanks asked his son, musician Chet Hanks, to break up the Drake and Kendrick Lamar drama, and now the viral exchange is nothing short of a comedy sketch.
On Monday, May 20, the Forrest Gump star, 67, messaged his son Chet, saying, “Big Man, can you explain to me the Drake/Kendrick Lamar controversy?” Chet, whose father had saved “Pops” on his phone, accepted the challenge with enthusiasm.
Chet shared a screenshot of their hilarious conversation on his Instagram Stories, and split it into two parts because of his long answer. And here it goes…
“Yeah, so Drake and this other guy J Cole are saying they’re the ‘Big 3’ in rap with Kendrick. Then Kendrick put out a song that said, ‘F— the Big 3, it’s just Big ME STARTING BEEF,” the musician began.
He continued to highlight Drake, 37, by taking a dig at Lamar’s “short legs” and height. “But literally 30 seconds later Kendrick put out a diss that went heavy on Drake’s diss, where he very methodically destroyed Drake’s entire psyche and called him a pedophile for flirting with young girls and it “Revealing that Drake has another child that he was hiding from the world, which turned out to be a lie,” Chet wrote.
His excitement was evident as he mimicked the Canadian Grammy winner’s attitude, “Drake came back like, ‘Hahaha, I got your ass, I gave you false information to fool you.'” Gotcha ass, I have people. They were the ones who gave you false information to make you look stupid.
Before concluding, Chet explained how “it didn’t matter” to fans that Lamar misinformed about Drake having a second child. “Because after that Kendrick dropped another West Coast banger where he actually got into labeling Drake a pedophile.”
To help Tom understand the analogy, his son provided a past example of the two visiting the actor’s former school.
Chet wrote, “It was just like when you took me to your high school in Oakland and we went to a basketball game and everyone started going crazy.”
“Like if you heard it you’d automatically know how to make a creep walk in on Marshon Lynch with a stink face holding an Oscar in both hands, then pat him down and call him ‘Town Bidness,'” “That solidified the win, not only for Kendrick but the entire West Coast.” He concluded.

Hanks asks who is winning the fight?
Tom responded with a paragraph-long reply saying, “Holy cow! These are fighting words,” the Cast Away actor said before wanting to know the score. “People are taking sides?? Who’s winning??”
To which Chet responded with a laughing emoji, “Didn’t you read what I said.”
However, it’s been over a week since the two artists openly exchanged insults. On May 10, Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith, CEO of Lamar’s Top Dawg Entertainment, said the fight is over.
“This fight is over,” Tiffith tweeted, calling it a “victory for culture.”
