Cannes: The wait is finally over! The first look of actress Preity Zinta from the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival is out. Dressed in a white outfit, Preity looked beautiful as ever. Photos and videos are going viral on the internet in which the ‘Veer Zaara’ star can be seen giving stylish poses flaunting her beautiful gown. For glamour, she wore minimal makeup and tied her hair in a bun.

Preity is in Cannes to present the Pierre Angéniaux Excellence in Cinematography award to veteran cinematographer Santosh Sivan. She has worked with Santosh Sivan in several films, including his debut film ‘Dil Se…’.

According to reports, Preity made her Cannes debut in 2006. She attended the premiere of two films ‘The Wind That Shakes the Barley’ and ‘Paris, Je T’aime’ and was praised for her style sense. In 2013, Preity returned to the French Riviera as the brand ambassador of luxury watch brand Chopard.

The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which began on May 14, will continue till May 25. Recently, India’s Aishwarya Rai Bachchan grabbed everyone’s attention with her glamorous appearance at the prestigious film festival. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari is also in Cannes and will soon walk the prestigious red carpet.

Kiara Advani was also at Cannes this year, but she did not walk the red carpet. Instead, she took part in several panel discussions.

Meanwhile, on the acting front, Preity is making a comeback on the silver screen with Sunny Deol-starrer ‘Lahore 1947’. In April, the ‘Veer Zaara’ actor gave fans a pleasant glimpse into the making of the film with several behind-the-scenes pictures shared on social media.

Expressing her excitement, Preity posted a few pictures from the film sets, giving fans a glimpse into the world of ‘Lahore 1947’.

Sharing a picture of the film’s clapperboard, Preity captioned it, “On the sets of Lahore 1947.” In another picture, the actress was seen sharing a candid moment with director Rajkumar Santoshi, which hints at a behind-the-scenes friendship. Produced under Aamir Khan’s banner, ‘Lahore 1947’ is an important collaboration between Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan Productions.

The film was officially announced in October last year, with its star-studded cast and promising storyline grabbing everyone’s attention. Veteran actors Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal have also joined the cast of ‘Lahore 1947’ in pivotal roles. Sunny Deol will be seen sharing screen space with his elder son Karan Deol in the film.
