His return has special meaning, including new projects and hopes of a full reunion of the group in 2025. A few months ago, the oldest member hinted at his new project after his comeback, and recent rumors suggest that he might be teaming up with his old friends, none other than Coldplay.
BTS Jin’s military discharge date
The oldest member of K-pop boy band BTS will be back in just 2 weeks. The Astronaut singer will be back by June 15, with the process potentially taking five more days due to paperwork and formalities. Jin will be followed by Arsenal crooner J-Hope, who was the next to enlist in the military. By 2025, all seven members will be back, with reports suggesting they may embark on a new world tour.
BTS Jin’s upcoming project and album release
Prior to his enlistment, The Moon singer released a solo track called “Astronaut,” which was reportedly a gift from his friend Chris Martin and was written by the famous British band Coldplay. This makes him the only member without a solo album, raising the possibility that the singer might debut his solo album in 2024.

Kim Seokjin Coldplay Collaboration Rumors
Wutteo came back into the spotlight and fans quickly discovered the connection between them and Coldplay. Coldplay is a British band that has been close to BTS, especially Jin, who was given an iconic guitar by Chris Martin that he had been playing for more than 10 years. Coldplay recently changed the display picture to show the phases of the moon, a detail that has become known by devoted BTS fans as “Moon”, the nickname of the oldest member. In addition, Chris Martin was seen wearing Wutteo on his clothes, while the band carried plush accessories with them at concerts.
“Oh Coldplay brought Wutteo back on stage and Chris Martin wore a Wutteo pin on his shirt during their recent performance. Seriously, ever since Seokjin recruited, they never forget to take Wutteo with them everywhere. They really love Seokjin,” one fan wrote. Another added, “So we’re getting Jin and Coldplay together… I’m excited.”
