Jennifer Lopez's Vegas dream in tatters: $90 million residency in jeopardy, Ben Affleck missing, ticket sales down

Jennifer Lopez’s reign may be coming to a dramatic end as her Las Vegas nightmare unfolds. According to insiders, the prospect of her much-hyped return to Sin City for a record-breaking $90 million residency is shaky. Months ago, newlywed couple Bennifer 2.0 was spending every waking moment out and about in LA, and now an insider tells The Post that the singer, who is set to kick off her tour soon, is set to book a series of concerts at the MGM Grand. However, poor ticket and album sales could hurt the deal.

Jennifer Lopez’s $90 million residence in ‘jeopardy’

“MGM is seeing that she’s not doing well on the road. They’re very nervous,” a source told the outlet, adding that the Can’t Get Enough singer is currently set to receive around $1 million per show. A total of 90 concert dates are scheduled through 2025, and if the deal is finalized, her Vegas dream won’t be going anywhere. However, the situation looks a little worrisome considering the pre-booking sales. “It’s very rare that you have a bad tour and then you go to Vegas,” the source added.

Despite extensive publicity, including the release of a new documentary titled The Greatest Love Story I’ve Ever Told that shed light on the couple’s rekindled romance and marriage in 2022, Lopez’s ninth studio album, This Is Me Now… , made an incredibly disappointing debut at No. 38 on the Billboard 200. This was a major disappointment considering her 2002 predecessor, This Is Me… Then , produced two of her biggest hits, Jenny from the Block and All I Have.

The source believes that JLo’s Las Vegas shows won’t be as expensive as planned. Instead of getting $1 million per show, she might get a smaller amount like $600,000 and do fewer shows overall. Another said that the deal was never “officially signed” and things are a work in progress.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage is in trouble

On one hand, the singer is preparing for her highly anticipated tour “This Is Me…Live,” formerly known as This Is Me…Now, which kicks off in June. On the other hand, troubles have surfaced in Bennifer’s marriage. Just months after Jennifer Lopez sang about her love story with Ben Affleck, reports of the couple’s divorce began to spread. The Accountant 2 star then made a dramatic move from their shared Beverly Hills mansion to a rental property in Brentwood.

The couple was not seen together for almost a month, until they finally appeared at one of their children’s school events. Several sources have mentioned “trouble in paradise,” noting that the couple has been attending major red-carpet events separately. However, neither Ben nor Jen have addressed the rumors and are instead currently focusing solely on their careers.
