Comedian Sunil Pal recently shared an anecdote related to Shahrukh Khan in his interview. Bollywood BubbleHe claimed that Shah Rukh Khan used to visit the slums to meet the family of one of his staff members. Sunil said that Shah Rukh used to come quietly late at night on special occasions. Sunil Pal told Bollywood Bubble, “Shah Rukh’s son Subhash, he is no more, he used to live in my slum, where I used to stay on rent. Shah Rukh Khan used to come to his house once every 4-6 months. If it was his child’s birthday or any other occasion, he would come. He would come after 12 or 1 am, when it would get dark. He would come quietly, stay for 10-15 minutes and go away.”
Sunil Pal also shared his memories of meeting Shah Rukh Khan in Singapore where he performed in front of him. He said, “We went to Singapore for a tour where the Morani brothers gave me Rs 20,000. The show was held in a stadium there and I remember after the show Shah Rukh introduced every artist including me to the audience. Ganesh Hegde was also present there. He asked me to come to the green room and perform in front of Shah Rukh. He entered the room with a drink and a cigarette in his hand and I started imitating his popular dialogues in front of him.”
Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating winning the IPL trophy after a decade. His co-owned team Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to win their third IPL (Indian Premier League) title. Congratulating the team, Shah Rukh Khan wrote a long note. An excerpt from the note read, “To my boys….to my team….to my champs….these blessed candles of the night….my stars…of KKR. I cannot do many things and you too cannot do them all…but together we manage most of them. This is what Kolkata Knight Riders means. Just being together. Beyond the ability and guidance of Gautam Gambhir….the honesty of Chandu, the love of Abhishek Nayar and the leadership of Shreyas Iyer…the dedication of Tendo, Bharathi Arun, Carl Crowe and Leemonathan…this team is not built on any hierarchy but on pure respect for collaboration.” Take a look:
