During a concert, Sonu Nigam didn’t even spoil a note as a fan accosted him on the stage. The security personnel chased the miscreant and were seen beating him.

This was not the first time that an overzealous fan or a hooligan had come on stage and advanced towards the artist. Sonu Nigam kept singing at a concert, despite a man attacking him on stage

What happened?

In a video going viral on social media, Sonu can be seen singing the song ‘Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte’ from Aditya Chopra’s 2008 romantic comedy Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Then a man comes on stage and attacks Sonu in a threatening manner, before the singer pushes him aside. Security guards grab the man, take him down, and then drag him off the stage while he apparently beats him. During this, Sonu and his team continued the performance and the singer continued singing the song without any interruption.

Internet reacts

The internet was quite impressed by this rare talent of Sonu. An Instagram user commented on the video in Hindi, “No matter what happens, the song should not be stopped.” Another wrote in the comments section, “Arijit had absolutely said that Sonu Nigam ji never sings a tuneless song.” Could (Arjit Singh was absolutely right – Sonu Nigam can never go out of tune) (laughs with tears emoji).”

A third commented, “This was absolutely amazing! How did Sonu avoid that man and continue singing perfectly?? (surprise emoji) Legend for a reason! In the fourth it is written, “Sonu sir kitne active hain aur sur ke kitne pakka itne tej cut marke bhaage ki lekin zara sa bhi 20 se 19 ni hua (Sonu is so active and so proficient in singing that despite taking such a sharp turn and “His notes didn’t change at all even after running) (red heart emoji).”

One person also compared it to a more recent incident in Prague, when singer-actor Nick Jonas, performing on stage with his fellow Jonas Brothers, ran off the stage when a fan aimed a laser at them. And alerted his security. The user claimed that Sonu’s reaction to a similar threat was unlike Nick’s.

However, some users also criticized the singer’s security for resorting to physical violence. One of them commented, “Par marna nahi chahiye tha (but they should not have killed him) (sad emoji).” Another wrote, “He could have told his staff to stop hitting him. He decided to continue his singing and continue the physical abuse/assault! They could have thrown him off the stage! Why beaten?”
