For actors, Jose P Rafael and K Gopalan, claiming a theater heritage of more than three decades, sketch is a memory of how Jose Chiramel, his early mentor and a legend in the theater circuit, gave his actors a full length Prepared before the game. Labeling these plays as “an actor-oriented”, Jose says that performance is not run by directors. Artists are given an independent rein to improve without restrictions.

“Rabindranath Tagore has written many of these small plays to train students in Shantiiniketan,” he says. Jose said, “We have done the work of writers such as Kunjuni Mash, Jayaprakash Kuloor and even Anton Chekhav,” Jose says, who have also worked in films.
