Hours after Sonakshi Sinha took a dig at Mukesh Khanna’s “distasteful” comments questioning her upbringing, the Mahabharat actor reacted, saying he had no intention of “defaming” her. in an interview with news 9Mukesh Khanna said, “I am surprised that he took so long to react. I knew that I was offending him by taking his name from that incident in the famous Kaun Banega Crorepati show. But I had no intention of defaming him or his father. There was no malicious intent.” Who is my senior and I have a very cordial relationship with him.”
Mukesh Khanna called out Sonakshi Sinha for her inability to answer a question from Ramayana in Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2019. After taking several digs at him in the past, Mukesh Khanna brought the issue to the forefront in a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan. Week on which Sonakshi’s reaction came.
“My intention was to respond to today’s generation, which the elders call ‘GenZ’, who have become slaves to today’s Google world and mobile phones. Their knowledge is limited to Wikipedia and social contacts on You Tube. And Here I said one thing – Mukesh Khanna told News9 in his defense, “I have a good case in front of me which I can use to teach others, fathers, sons, daughters.”
Following Mukesh Khanna’s recent comment, Sonakshi Sinha wrote a detailed note on her Instagram stories on December 16 announcing her strong disapproval.
Sonakshi wrote that she “went blank” on the show and “respectfully” requested the Mahabharat actor to “forget” the incident, which he keeps touching on publicly, “to get back in the news”.
An excerpt from his note read, “Dear Sir, Mukesh Khanna ji… I have recently read a statement from you saying that it is my father’s fault I asked a question about Ramayana in a show. In which I participated many years ago, let me remind you that there were two women in the hot seat that day who did not know the answer to the same question, but you continued to take my name , and only my name, for reasons that are quite obvious Are.”
Protecting her father’s honor and reputation, Sonakshi wrote, “And finally, the next time you decide to say anything about the values instilled in me by my father… please remember that it is against those values that Because I only said what I said.” Very respectfully, you decided to make some distasteful statements about my upbringing, I wish you well, thank you and kind regards, Sonakshi Sinha.”
Apart from Sonakshi, her father Shatrughan Sinha had also criticized Mukesh Khanna for his problematic comments in the past. On the work front, Mukesh Khanna has teased the return of Shaktimaan as ‘today’s generation needs a superhero’.
