Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis participated in a special screening of Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhawa’ in Mumbai. After watching the historical drama, CM Fadnavis praised the producers for sharing the true story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj through ‘Chhawa’.

He shared, “Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj knew 11 different languages. He was a poet, and was also a writer. From the film ‘Chhava’, many people in India have come to know more about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and I thank the ‘Chhawa’ crew members and the entire team. The team brought Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj to our life.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that those who write history were not only for Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, but ‘Chhava’ has managed to throw light on the life of his bravery.

“Those who wrote history did a lot of injustice for Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, but through this film, all these aspects of their valor, bravery, cleverness, intelligence, knowledge, their lives are coming in front of the public. CM said that the CM has to congratulate the makers of this film and the entire team.

Along with the Chief Minister, many other political leaders and dignitaries also participated in the special screening of ‘Chhawa’.

Stunned by director Laxman YouTekar, ‘Chhawa’ is a cinematic transformation of the Marathi novel ‘Chhawa’ by Shivaji Sawant. In the film, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj as Vicky Kaushal with Queen Yasubai with Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna as Mughal Shahneshah Aurangzeb, Sarshampati Hambiro Mohiti as Ashutosh Rana, Diduabai and Granat-Brannas Akbar as Didarbai.
