Mumbai: Ajay Devgan’s Singham was again one of the most anticipated films of 2024, which marks the return of Bajirao Singham in Rohit Shetty’s police universe. However, unlike its predecessors, the film received mixed reactions from the audience. While life was appreciated by life-to-life action sequences and the ENSIBAL CAST, many fans felt that Singham’s character’s essence was thin in the story.

Now, Ajay Devgan has finally broken his silence on the criticisms around Singham, assuring fans that his response has been noted and the franchise will return with a strong, more intensive depiction of Singham.

At the Zee Real Heroes Awards 2025, Ajay was again asked about Singham’s response, especially the audience complained that Singham overshadhed by tributaries. The actor admitted that he had heard a similar response from many audiences and promised to ensure that future installments would be right for the original essence of the franchise.

“I think this response has come from a lot of logon (I have received this response from many people). Toh aage dhyan rakhenge ki woh jo singham ka tha- thus ghus ke maarne ka- hooh aage zaroor rahega (we are this Will ensure that the essence of the situation, where he takes the villain down in his signature style, will definitely be maintained in the next film), ”Ajay said.

Ajay also addressed the box office clash between Singham and Bhool Bhulaiya 3 again during Diwali 2024. While both films had a pre-east-release buzz, the clash impressed his box office performance. Ajay revealed that the producers of both films tried to escape the struggle, but the Diwali release date was again required for Singham.

“We all tried to work around it, but finally, some films are made for Diwali, and Singham again fitted the festival slot. Unfortunately, there are such clashes, and we just have to focus on creating a great film, ”he explained.

Despite the again mixed reception, Singham is an important part of Rohit Shetty’s police universe, including Singham (2011), Singham Returns (2014), Simba (2018), and Sorivanshi (2021). With Ajay’s promise of more action-pack returns, fans can expect Singham to make a roar in the next installment.
