‘Kantara’ star Rishab Shetty recently visited the famous Divya Kshetra Hariharapura temple with his family.
Sharing photos from his holy visit, Rishabh revealed that the ‘Aksharabhyasam’ ceremony was organised for his daughter at the temple. ‘Aksharabhyasam’ or ‘Vidyarambham’ is a traditional religious ceremony in which children are introduced to the world of alphabets. This is their first step towards formal education.
She wrote, “From small steps to little words… We are happy to share with you that with the grace of Sri Sharadamba, our little girl’s ‘Akshara Abhyas’ ceremony is complete. #Blessed #ShringeriSharadamba.”
Rishabh was also accompanied by his wife Pragati Shetty and children.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rishabh is currently focusing on Hombale Films’ prequel ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’. The makers unveiled the teaser of the upcoming film in November 2023.
The clip concludes with seven different ragas of music, representing the seven languages in which ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ will be released.
In the poster, Rishabh was seen posing away from the camera, wearing a dhoti and holding a trident and an ax in his hands. Kantara, which was both directed by and starring Rishabh, saw him play the dual role of Shiva and his father, a Daiva Kola artiste.
The film is the story of a man who comes under the influence of Guliga Dev and Panjuluri Dev to drive away evil from the village. The film ends with Shiva disappearing into the forest to meet the spirit of his father, who had also similarly disappeared.
Reportedly, a massive set has been built with the help of 600 carpenters and stunt masters from Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad for one schedule of ‘Kantara Chapter 1’.
The film is believed to be set during the reign of the Kadamba dynasty in the modern-day Uttara Kannada region of Karnataka between 300 and 401 AD. The makers have not revealed any further details about the upcoming mythological thriller.
