New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for a healthy nation and a recent event, the need for ‘campaign against Rising Obesity’ has received a big shout from Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.
The actor praised the Prime Minister for adopting a healthy lifestyle and for cutting the countrymen ‘enlightened and energetic’ to the countrymen and also shared his video.
Sharing a part of PM Modi’s speech from the 38th National Sports launch, the actor said that the way he loved, the Prime Minister expressed the impact of unhealthy practices on our lifestyle.

“Health is the greatest wealth,” the actor wrote on X and also strongly advocated for everyone to follow PM Modi’s regular exercise and nutritious food advice for a healthy life.
On 28 January, PM Modi inaugurated the 38th National Games in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, which will see 10,000 athletes competing in various subjects in the next 17 days. He also described the National Games as ‘celebration of India’s incredible sports talent’.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi created a strong pitch about the need to adopt a healthy lifestyle and also expressed concern over the obesity emerging as ‘health danger’ in the country.
“Statistics show that our country is seeing a boom in obesity and related problems. Each section including the youth is being affected by this. This is a matter of concern because with the overweight of people, it is prone to the population for lifestyle diseases including diabetes, heart diseases and others, ”PM Modi said.
He said that Fit Bharat Movement and National Sports will serve as an effective tool in encouraging people to live an active, disciplined and balanced life.
He also urged the countrymen to focus on two things – exercise and diet control.
He encouraged everyone to take some time every day for exercise, whether it is running or working outside. Emphasizing the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet, he suggested unhealthy fat and oil deficiency.
“Old gold is because our ancestors used to eat fresh, natural and balanced food,” he said.
PM Modi also advised to reduce the use of cooking oil at least 10 percent every month, as such small steps can lead to important health reforms.
“A healthy mind and healthy body can lay the foundation of a healthy nation,” he said, playing applause with the audience.
PM Modi also urged the sports community, state administration and community leaders to help citizens to make informed options.
