Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt can’t stand each other at the Venice Film Festival

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will not be facing each other at the upcoming Venice Film Festival even though both their films are premiering at the prestigious event.

The festival’s artistic director Alberto Barbera recently spoke about the possibility of the former couple reuniting during the star-studded gathering.

“Angelina will be on her first day on Thursday,” Barbara told Vanity Fair [Aug.] 29, and she will leave with him immediately [Maria director] Pablo Larrain will go to Telluride [Film Festival],

“Brad will only be arriving in Venice on Saturday.” He further stressed, “There is no way they will be able to meet each other at the Lido.”

First, Hindustan Times According to the report, Jolie-Pitt will be staying at the same hotel during their time at the VFF, and organisers are being cautious so that the two Hollywood celebrities do not come across each other.

Jolie and Pitt will premiere new films at the Venice Film Festival

Jolie and Pitt were together for nine years before marrying in 2014 and filing for divorce just two years later. Their friendship, which began on the set of the 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, has been tainted by public and private feuds, particularly over their six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.

Jolie and Pitt are also embroiled in a legal battle over the French winery Chateau Miraval, which they once co-owned. The property, which has enormous financial and sentimental value, has become a focal point of their contentious divorce proceedings.

A source recently told People Magazine“Both sides are still in talks, but it’s not over yet.”

On the professional front, both Jolie and Pitt are attending the Venice Film Festival for the world premiere of their latest project. Jolie is starring in Maria, a biographical film that is part of the festival’s in-competition lineup. Directed by Pablo Larraín, the film features Jolie as legendary opera singer Maria Callas. The cast also includes Kodi Smit-McPhee, Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher and Haluk Bilginer.

On the other hand, Pitt will star in the action-thriller Wolves, directed by Jon Watts, best known for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Pitt will reunite with his old friend George Clooney, with whom he shares the screen as a pair of lone-wolf fixers hired for the same job. Wolves will be presented out of competition at the festival, and the cast also includes Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams and Richard Kind.
